Hotel Südtirol Prospekt

Bozen, the provincial capital

“For me, Bozen is a mountain, which has turned into a city. As soon as you move it changes its appearance. You leave and its profile alters, you come back and discover even new aspects. It speaks different languages. It is basically an actor, enchanting and contradictory, unfriendly and engaging, benevolent and coldly indifferent.”
R. Messner

Bozen - capital of South Tyrol. City of opposites with its romantic narrow streets, arcades and picturesque squares. Southern European ambience.
The city offers with its museums, theatres and guided tours a wide variety of culture and history and we are sure you have heard of Bozen’s most famous inhabitant - “Ötzi” (Frozen Fritz) whom you can see in the “Südtiroler Archäologiemuseum”. Other sights worth looking at in Bozen are, besides the Schloss Runkelstein (castle), the “Mountainmuseum” and the “Stadtmuseum”, above all the old part of the city, too.

Bozen is already a global city .German and Italian have always been spoken here, English on top of that, too. The new university is trilingual as is also the Akademie for Design, the Filmschule Zelig is bilingual and the Convention Center of the European Akademie is international. There is a tingle in the air. That creates new cultural worlds. Bozen is European, precisely that.
